Virgil van Dijk allegedly snubbed Jordan Pickford as he apologised for his horror tackle in the Merseyside derby.
The Dutchman's Liverpool team-mates also allegedly instructed the Everton keeper to 'go away and leave Van Dijk alone' as he lay in heap on the ground.
Van Dijk is set to have a scan on his knee this Sunday to determine how serious his injury is and whether it will keep him out for the season.
The Dutchman left hospital on crutches on Saturday, after receiving treatment following Everton's 2-2 draw with Liverpool.
Van Dijk was injured while attacking a free-kick in the Everton area.
Pickford recklessly came off his line to block the Dutchman's shot, but clattered into him with a horrendous knee-high challenge.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Pickford attempted to help Van Dijk back to his feet but was met with a dismissive gesture.
Van Dijk then uttered "No" before Sadio Mane arrived to tell the Everton shot-stopper to 'go away' because his help was not wanted.
Jurgen Klopp was worried for Van Dijk following the Merseyside derby.
The Liverpool boss said: "It's not good. Virgil plays with pain but he couldn't play on. Not good." On Pickford's challenge, he added: "Pickford kicks him completely.
"I need to watch it back. I've seen the disallowed goal at the end and in the picture I saw it wasn't offside. Can someone explain that to me?"
