Jordan Pickford arrives for training ahead of Everton talks over 'pub brawl'

Jordan Pickford has arrived at Everton's training ground for talks with club bosses over his alleged involvement in a pub brawl.

Footage emerged of a man, alleged to be Pickford, being restrained following an altercation in Sunderland on Sunday night.

Everton confirmed they were investigating the video, which was captured in the hours after Pickford's former club lost to Portsmouth in the Checkatrade Trophy final at Wembley.

Everton's players had Monday and Tuesday off following their victory at West Ham but reported to training on Wednesday.

Pickford was seen arriving at Finch Farm ahead of training, with talks expected with Silva and director of football Marcel Brands.

What sparked Jordan Pickford fight as Everton and police investigate incident

Everton are back in action against Arsenal on Sunday and it remains to be seen if Pickford will be punished by the club for his actions.

Speaking last month, Silva insisted the England goalkeeper needed more 'emotional balance' after seemingly being distracted by Newcastle fans during a 3-2 defeat.

Meanwhile, Northumbria Police have confirmed they are investigating the alleged incident.

Northumbria Police said: "At 12:19am on Monday, April 1, police received a report of a disturbance involving a large group of individuals on Tunstall Road, Sunderland.

"Enquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and locate those involved.

"Nobody is believed to have been seriously injured and no arrests have been made."

Pickford is said to have reacted after his fiancee was called a "fat c***", sparking a ruck with fellow revellers.

It is alleged the World Cup star was subjected to verbal abuse in one bar, before later flipping out and swinging punches at another man for his comments towards his partner, Megan.
