Jordan Love’s 322-yard passing performance on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers — his first career game with 300 passing yards — snapped the Green Bay Packers’ 31-game streak (including postseason) of not having a 300-yard passer.
The team’s last 300-yard passing game before Sunday? December 12, 2021, when Aaron Rodgers threw for 341 in a win over the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field.
Before Sunday, the Packers were the only NFL team without a 300-yard passer between the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
Rodgers, in his last season in Green Bay, didn’t have a single 300-yard passing game in 2022. The closest he came over 17 games was 291 against the Detroit Lions in Week 9.
Love went 0-for-9 to start the 2023 season. He got to 289 last week before finally hitting the 300-yard mark for the first time in his career Sunday.
Love completed 27 passes, hit 10 different receivers and had seven different receivers produce 20 or more yards. He had five completions of 20 or more yards, including the go-ahead 24-yard touchdown pass to Romeo Doubs.
Love is the 13th Packers quarterback to throw for 300 yards in a game. Only seven Packers quarterbacks have thrown for 300 yards multiple times: Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre, Lynn Dickey, Don Majkowski, Bart Starr, Tobin Rote and Randy Wright.
Rodgers is the franchise’s all-time leader in 300-yard games with 69. Favre had 55.
Matt Flynn (2011) and Scott Tolzien (2013) also had 300-yard passing games in the last 15 years.
