For those that can’t get enough football in your lives, the XFL has you covered. The rebooted league is preparing to hold a draft (Oct. 15-16), which includes some former NFL players.
Among the XFL draft pool are quite a few familiar names. A few former Baltimore Ravens, along with some who spent time with the team in training camp, have turned their attention to the XFL draft in order to continue their football careers.
Here’s a full list of the players with Ravens connections in the nearly 1,000-player draft pool, according to the XFL’s website.

Some of those names might look more familiar than others. Let’s highlight a few to refresh your memory.
S Matt Elam

The Ravens hoped Elam would become the next Ed Reed, selecting him in the first round of the 2013 NFL draft, and Elam played well in his rookie season. But being played out of place and ultimately just failing to find any consistency on the field in the following years resulted in him being benched. Baltimore’s decision to move on from Elam was made even easier after he was arrested in early 2017.
WR Jordan Lasley

Lasley was selected by Baltimore in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL draft and was with the Ravens into training camp this offseason. But with lackluster results and other players stepping up, the team cut him early.
S Will Hill

Hill had a spectacular but troubled NFL career that included a two-year stop in Baltimore and several suspensions, both with the Giants and Ravens. Baltimore originally signed Hill in a low-cost, low-risk move to bolster their secondary in the face of injuries. Hill kept his nose clean and played well, earning a two-year contract extension that following offseason. But the next year, Hill was suspended for 10 games for failing a drug test, and the Ravens moved on from him.
Hill started 23 games for Baltimore, getting two interceptions and returning one for a touchdown. He also returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown.
LB Arthur Brown

Brown was selected by the Ravens in the second round of the 2013 draft. There was hope Brown would become an immediate starter and help fill the void after Ray Lewis’ retirement. But Brown never panned out, not starting a single game for Baltimore in three years and recording just 15 tackles over that time.
