Jordan Jones' message to Sunderland fans as he returns to Rangers

Jordan Jones has become the latest player to thank Sunderland fans for their support.

The on-loan Rangers winger made 21 appearances in all competitions for the Black Cats scoring three times and grabbing four assists.

The 26-year-old showed moments of brilliance during his time on Wearside but injuries meant he was in and out of the side.

Jones has taken to Twitter to thank fans for their support, stating he "loved" his time at the "massive club."

He said: "Good luck to @SunderlandAFC for the future. A massive club which I loved playing for.

"Thank you for the opportunity and a big thank you to the fans for all the love and support since I arrived.

"I look forward to seeing the club where it belongs in the future. Thankyou."

There has been speculation linking him with a return to Wearside this summer. However, questions were raised by fans when Jones was left on the bench for the second leg of the play-off final.

The former Middlesbrough trainee has also been linked with a move back to his native Teesside, with Neil Warnock reportedly a big fan.
