Jordan Howard is leaving the NFC North, and that’s good news for the Vikings

The Vikings won’t have to go up against Jordan Howard twice a year.

On Thursday, the former Bears running back was traded to the Eagles for a 2020 draft pick, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Howard is about a league-average running back, but he’s had plenty of success against the Vikings.

In six-career games against the Vikings, Howard has 545 rushing yards (4.7 yards per carry) and three touchdowns. Most recently, in Week 17, Howard ran for 109 yards and two touchdowns, pushing the Vikings out of the playoffs.

The Vikings won’t be able to avoid Howard all together in 2019, though. Minnesota will play the Eagles in 2019, most likely on Thanksgiving.

The Bears will now rely on Mike Davis and the shifty Tarik Cohen.
