Jordan Howard has rushed for 10+ yards on 2nd highest percentage of his attempts in NFL

The Philadelphia Eagles will battle the Dallas Cowboys for first place in the NFC East and you can expect Jordan Howard to play a huge role in how the game turns out. Howard and rookie Miles Sanders are splitting the snaps, with Howard becoming the main ball-carrying back and Sanders the pass-catching back. Howard has 41 carries in the last three games and is averaging 4.5 yards per carry, with 17 rushing first downs, and four rushing touchdowns.

The first downs have become integral for the Eagles and if Philadelphia is able to get a sizable lead on Dallas, look for Howard to become an even bigger workhorse back. Howard is not only the Eagles lead back currently, but he’s one of the best in the NFL at turning his carries into to 10 yards or more.

According to Inside Edge, Howard is second in the NFL behind Minnesota’s Alexander Mattison, for the percentage of his runs that go over 10+ yards or more.

Howard’s teammate and Eagles rookie running back, Miles Sanders, has one of the worst percentages in football, with only two of his 36 rushing attempts going over 10 yards.
