Jordan Henderson is preparing himself for the forthcoming Premier League by training with La Liga club RCD Mallorca.
Henderson was granted extra time off during the summer due to his commitments with England in the European Championships, as the Three Lions ended their campaign with a penalty shoot-out defeat to Italy on July 12th.
The Liverpool captain is not expected to report back to Kirkby for pre-season training until the start of August, given that Jurgen Klopp has granted everyone at least three weeks off this summer.
And judging by a recent post on his Instagram story, Henderson appears to be training with recently promoted La Liga side RCD Mallorca.
The video posted on his story shows the midfielder carrying out a series of exercises in a gym belonging to the Spanish outfit.
Henderson could team-up with former team-mate Daniel Sturridge - currently on trial at the Spanish outfit - as the forward looks to make a return to professional football for the first time since March 2020.
Sturridge mutually agreed to terminate his contract at Turkish side Trabzonspor following a breach of betting rules.
Henderson's late arrival to link up with his teammates on Merseyside could make him a doubt for Liverpool's opening game of the season away to Norwich City on August 14th.
