Jordan Henderson to launch #shirtsforheroes to raise cash for NHS

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is spearheading another initiative to help raise much-needed funds for the NHS during the coronavirus pandemic.

The former Sunderland midfielder, who led the Red to the Champions League glory 12 months ago, was behind a players' fund last month which was set up to help raise vital money for key workers, under the banner Players Together.

And now the 29-year-old is looking to use that scheme to team with with eBay in another bid to raise cash for the NHS by selling signed shirts online.

According to the Mail, the #shirtsforheroes campaign would see top names from each Premier League club donate signed shirts for a online raffle on eBay.

The reports says fans will be able to buy £5 tickets - with a maximum of five per person - with all the money raised going to NHS Charities Together.

Legal documents are reportedly being drawn up which could see the scheme officially launched in the near future.

England star Henderson is credited with being at the forefront of the campaign, and if the success of Players Together is anything to go by, this could be another resounding boost for the charities involved.
