Jordan Henderson tells Liverpool owners how players feel about Super League

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson says he and his team-mates don't want the European Super League.

Former Sunderland midfielder Henderson made his feelings and those of his team-mates abundantly clear on Twitter.

Henderson wrote: "We don't like it and we don't want it to happen. This is our collective position.

"Our commitment to this football club and its supporters is absolute and unconditional.

"You'll Never Walk Alone."

It comes with the bid to set up the new Super League appeared to be faltering, with Chelsea and Manchester City reportedly on the verge of pulling out.

Manchester United chairman Ed Woodward announced he would be standing down at the end of the season as the "big six" came under huge criticism for their plans to join the European league.

Several other Liverpool players posted a similar message, while James Milner revealed his objections after the Reds' 1-1 draw with Leeds on Monday night.
