Jordan Henderson stuns England team-mates with one moment in training

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson wowed teammates in training with a beautiful goal ahead of England's World Cup group stage clash against USA on Friday.

The 32-year-old was left on the bench for the Three Lions' opening 6-2 triumph over Iran on Monday and he is expected to once again be amongst the substitutes this evening at the Al Bayt Stadium, where an England victory would secure their passage through to the knockout stages.

But should the decorated Anfield star be called upon by Gareth Southgate at any stage, it would seem that Henderson has brought his shooting boots to Qatar. A video of a training session published on England's official Twitter feed shows the Wearsider produce some sharp footwork to get away from club teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold - shifting the ball onto his right foot before curling it into the top corner of the net from outside the penalty area.

A teammate can be heard shouting "Hendo!" as the ball ripples against the net, in a gesture of appreciation at the quality of the strike.

England were not short of goals in their first outing in Qatar, as Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka (2), Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford and Jack Grealish hit the Iranians for six.

Fans will be hopeful of another clutch of goals against the United States tonight, even if though the Three Lions have never beaten their trans-Atlantic rivals in a World Cup fixture, but if they run into any problems this evening, they could always turn to Henderson to get them out of jail.
