Jordan Henderson sent Tottenham Hotspur transfer message with Liverpool admission

Jordan Henderson is “everything” Tottenham Hotspur need insists a former player at the north London club who has urged the Liverpool captain to join them.

Potential question marks have arisen over Henderson’s Anfield future after a shock report in the Athletic claimed no progress has been made over a new deal for the Reds skipper despite contract talks having taken place over the summer.

Although negotiations haven’t broken down, the article says it’s a complicated and sensitive situation with the 31-year-old midfielder’s current deal expiring in 2023 and subsequent reports claim Henderson has attracted transfer attention from Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid.

The Spurs Web cites White Hart Lane old boy Jamie O’Hara as telling talkSPORT that he would ‘love’ to see Henderson in a Tottenham shirt even though he admits that he cannot see the move actually happening.

He said: “I would love him at Spurs. He is everything we need.

“He’s a leader. A character on the pitch. He’s a driving force in midfield. I would absolutely love him to be at Spurs.

“But we cannot get someone like him. I don’t think we are on that level.

"If he’s leaving Liverpool, he’s going to a PSG. I cannot see him ever going to Spurs.”
