Jordan Henderson's heart-warming message to Liverpool fan from England training camp

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has surprised a Reds fan who has taken part in important volunteer work around the city.

Bradley Gwin-Barratt has been volunteering at Liverpool Homeless Football Club, taking part in youth social action campaigns highlighting the causes of homelessness and volunteering to build bridges in the community, following the impact of devastating gun and knife crime in North Liverpool.

Henderson took time out of his busy schedule to personally have a video call with Bradley, which is part of ‘National Thank You Day’ on Sunday.

The activity was organised by the FA as part of their support for the national day of thanks which has been organised by The Together Coalition.

The day aims to bring communities together to thank each other and celebrate the community spirit that so many felt during lock down.

Henderson is currently with the England national team at this summer’s European Championships, having featured once as a substitute in the victory over the Czech Republic on Tuesday night.

In a video released by the FA, Henderson sends a personal ‘thank you’ message to Bradley, as well as pledging to offer him a gift for his efforts.

“So, on behalf of the England national team, we’d like to say thank you for everything that you’ve done," said Henderson.

“A little thank you from me, as well, is this England shirt here.

“I’ll make sure that I get that signed and sent to you, with a little message on there.”
