Jordan Henderson laughs off Tyrone Mings comment and makes Declan Rice admission

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has reacted to Tyrone Mings' comment as the Aston Villa defender couldn't determine whether Henderson was "hilarious or just really miserable" after naming West Ham star Declan Rice as one of the funniest members of the England camp.

Over the course of the tournament, it has been apparent that Mings, Henderson and Wolves captain Conor Coady have sprung a friendship during the European Championships.

Earlier in the tournament, the Villa man claimed that the 31-year-old midfielder was the funniest out of the 23-man group.

He said: "Funniest teammate? I would probably say Jordan Henderson.

"I know that people would look at me and find that bizarre. But he's got such a dry sense of humour.

“I still haven’t quite worked out whether he’s hilarious or just really miserable.”

Henderson acknowledged the statement in the latest diary room, he replied: "I think what Ty said, I will probably go with miserable, I'll agree with that."

The same question was posed to the Reds captain, he opted for one of the visible characters in the coverage broadcasted by the England Football Teams social media channels.

He added: "In terms of funniest teammate, I find Dec (Declan Rice) funny.

"He is funny and sometimes he doesn't mean to be so I'll go with him, he makes us laugh."

Henderson broke a 62-cap goal drought to open his Three Lions account against Ukraine on Saturday as they booked their place in the last four against Denmark.

They will play the Danes on Wednesday in front of 60,000 at Wembley for a place in their first final of a major tournament in 55 years where they will play the winners of Italy and Spain.
