Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum star as Liverpool release first part of Christmas video

It may only be the first day of November but Liverpool have already released the first clip of a three-part Christmas video.

The festive season usually sees big companies go all out on their Christmas adverts - some go for humour while others try to tug on the heart strings.

The Reds have attempted a mixture of both in their film, focusing on the highs and successes enjoyed over the last year at the club while also looking forward to the future.

The clip released today includes captain Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum who reference the club's Champions League victory in June.

The film ends with a choir singing the first part of the famous Allez Allez Allez song.

Players from both the men and women's team are set to feature in the clips yet to be released with Liverpool legend Ian Rush dressing up as Santa.

Families from the Owen McVeigh Foundation were also welcomed on set, while celebrity chef and LFC supporter Simon Rimmer makes an appearance in Anfield’s treasured and renowned Homebaked bakery.

The video comes as part of the club's Christmas campaign message 'Tis the season to believe' - the idea of belief in the magic of Christmas and a nod to manager Jurgen Klopp's famous words.

The club have also revealed its official Christmas gifting range with a selection of exclusive presents for every Reds fan on the Liverpool website.

The range includes a wide assortment of products and experiences to choose from, including gifts for him, her, the kids and novelty Christmas essentials.

Liverpool-branded clothing, jewellery, personalised and signed gifts, hospitality and official membership packages are just a selection of some of the things fans can treat themselves to.
