Jordan Henderson admits “everybody is bored” of Liverpool’s approach after they strengthened their grip at the Premier League summit.
The Reds moved 25 points clear of Manchester City – albeit having played a game more – with a 1-0 win at rock-bottom Norwich City on Saturday evening.
Jurgen Klopp’s side need only five wins from their remaining 12 top-flight matches to claim a first title in 30 years having now won 25 of their 26 Premier League fixtures this season and stretched their unbeaten league run to 43 games.
Henderson, though, has no apologies for Liverpool’s methodical approach with the focus already fixed on Tuesday’s Champions League round of 16 first leg at Atletico Madrid.
“We just focus on the next game,” said the Liverpool captain.
“Everybody is bored of us (saying that), I know, but that’s the way we have approached it for a long time and there’s no need to change.
“We’ve got to recover quickly, we’ve got another big game in midweek against Atletico Madrid which will be another tough test, so we’ve just got to go there and do everything we can to get a good result.”
Sadio Mane came off the bench to mark his return from injury by scoring the only goal at Carrow Road 12 minutes from time.
And Henderson, speaking to liverpoolfc.com, added: “It was a fantastic run from Sadio, great touch and a great finish – fantastic goal from him.
“We are just delighted to get the three points, it’s good that Sadio is back after his injury and he’s straight on the scoresheet, so nice to have him back and nice to get the three points.”
