Jonjoe Kenny transfer latest as Celtic loanee asking price ‘lowered’ ahead of summer window

Everton have reportedly slashed the summer asking price for Celtic loanee Jonjoe Kenny.

The 23-year-old has made the right-back slot at Parkhead his own since the switch until the end of the campaign from Goodison Park.

The boyhood Hoops supporter has made six appearances since the January move north, but has struggled to hold a first-team spot at his parent club since making his Premier League debut back in 2016.

The Liverpool Echo state that Kenny is expected to leave in the summer with the club willing to drop the price tag.

The report claims that Everton were prepared to sell him in the last window, however Burnley would not meet their £10m asking price.

However, the England youth cap will enter the final year of his contract in July so their valuation will be "lowered."

Kenny was a last-minute recruit following the sale of Jeremie Frimpong to Bayer Leverkusen.

With a new manager incoming and Dominic McKay taking up the role as chief executive it is yet to be seen if a permanent move for the full-back is in the works.
