Jonathan Toews remains sidelined for Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks will be without their captain for the third consecutive game as Jonathan Toews will miss Tuesday night's tilt against the Florida Panthers at the United Center with an upper-body injury.

Toews suffered the injury last Wednesday against the Sharks and was not on the ice during Tuesday's morning skate. Coach Joel Quenneville said Toews is "probably the same" in his recovery from the injury and the center's status for Thursday night's game against the New Jersey Devils is questionable.

"We'll play it day by day," Quenneville said. "As soon as you see him on the ice you have an idea that he's close to playing,. Jonny wants to be out there in the worst way so we'll do everything we can to get him back."

Corey Crawford will start in goal for the Hawks and will be opposed by Roberto Luongo for the Panthers.
