Jonathan Taylor runs wild again, Wisconsin rolls to 2nd straight shutout

For the second straight week, Wisconsin failed to surrender a single point to their opponent.

Also for the second straight week, Badgers running back Jonathan Taylor made a strong case for his Heisman Trophy candidacy, as well as his chances of being the first running back selected in the 2020 NFL draft.

After shredding USF in a 49-0 victory in the Badgers’ season opener last week, Taylor followed up that showing with a four-touchdown performance in Saturday’s 61-0 blowout of Central Michigan.

Taylor not only found the end zone three times on the ground while rushing for over 100 yards, but also scored as a receiver for the second week in a row.

Next year’s draft could be loaded at running back, with prospects like Georgia’s D’Andre Swift and Clemson’s Travis Etienne vying for first-round consideration. Taylor will be right there with them, and if he keeps up this pace, could take home college football’s most prestigious individual award on his way to the next level.
