Monkey hears ticket sales for Tonight presenter Jonathan Maitland’s new play An Audience with Jimmy Savile – which is also executive produced by former ITV director of news and ex-Question Time and Watchdog executive Steve Anderson – have soared after Maitland and star Alistair McGowan appeared on Andrew Marr’s BBC1 show on Sunday. Monkey wonders how many of the tickets have been bought by BBC executives, past and present, to see who features in the play. With some of the proceeds going to the National Association for People Abused in Childhood their curiosity-inspired spending is at least going to a good cause.
