Before training camp gets underway, a familiar face will be back in the building with the Golden State Warriors. In a special announcement on his podcast “Point Forward,” Andre Iguodala made his highly-anticipated decision to re-sign with the Warriors for his 19th season in the association.

After the announcement of his return, one of Iguodala’s young teammates went to social media with a reaction to the news. On Instagram, second-year forward Jonathan Kuminga welcomed his locker neighbor back to Golden State.

The upcoming 2022-23 campaign will be Iguodala’s eighth season in the Bay Area. During his time with the Warriors, Iguodala won four NBA titles and a Finals Most Valuable Player award in 2015 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Over seven seasons with Golden State.

In Kuminga’s sophomore season in the NBA, the 19-year-old forward could continue to lean on Iguodala as a mentor.
