Jonah Williams leads Draft Wire’s final OT rankings

The Indianapolis Colts enter the 2019 NFL Draft without a major need on the offensive line for the first time in what seems like forever. Still, there is a chance they look to add some young talent over the course of the three-day event.

Even though Braden Smith looks to be the future at right tackle, the Colts might need to begin thinking about life after left tackle Anthony Castonzo, whose contracts expires following the 2019 season.

Should they be looking to add his eventual successor in this year’s draft, there are some options to look at. Here’s a look at the top 10 players in Draft Wire’s final offensive tackle rankings for the draft:

  1. Jonah Williams, Alabama
  2. Jawaan Taylor, Florida
  3. Dalton Risner, Kansas State
  4. Andre Dillard, Washington State
  5. Cody Ford, Oklahoma
  6. Yodny Cajuste, West Virginia
  7. Kaleb McGary, Washington
  8. Greg Little, Ole Miss
  9. David Edwards, Wisconsin
  10. Max Scharping, Northern Illinois

Adding an offensive tackle isn’t a need for the Colts where they currently stand. However, general manager Chris Ballard will continue to work on adding depth to the offensive line, which means a selection is certainly in play at some point during the draft.

There’s a chance the Colts look to add an offensive lineman later in the draft as a project of sorts, but don’t be surprised if a Day 2 pick is used on a player that Indy feels is the perfect match for their front.
