Jonah Hill has responded after overtaking Samuel L Jackson as the actor who has dropped the most swear words in his movies.
According to a study by Buzz Bingo, Hill has sworn 376 times in his films, while Jackson has racked up 301 profanities over his career.
Sharing a screenshot of an article with the headline "Jonah Hill Passes Samuel L Jackson With Most F***ing Swear Words on Film," the actor wrote on his Instagram: "So many people to thank."
He expressed his gratitude to The Wolf of Wall Street director Martin Scorsese "for pushing me over the edge”, adding: "And of course the great @samuelljackson. Humbled."
The Wolf of Wall Street is the most profane film of all time, with offensive language used over 700 times.
Leonardo DiCaprio, who also starred in the 2013 film, surpassed Jackson too, with a total of 361 uses of bad language in his movies.
Hill’s other expletive-ridden roles include War Dogs and Superbad.
