When former Duke star and assistant coach Jon Scheyer took over the helm after the departure of the legendary Mike Krzyzewski, he knew it would be a challenging role. We’re not sure he thought it would be as challenging as the first half against nearby rival N.C. State, however.
The Blue Devils started an absolutely atrocious 0-for-13 from the floor, turned the ball over four times and missed two free throws as they fell behind 15-0 to the Wolfpack. After finally getting on the board with a Mark Williams dunk 7:40 into the game, N.C. State answered with a three to make it 18-2.
As cameras panned to Scheyer on the bench, he was straight up not having a good time.
