Jon Jones, Corey Anderson trash Jan Blachowicz after UFC 267 title loss

Corey Anderson and Jon Jones took their opportunity to pounce after Jan Blachowicz lost his light heavyweight title in the UFC 267 main event.

In the lead-up to Saturday’s card at Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, Bellator contender Anderson (16-4 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) and Blachowicz (28-9 MMA, 11-6 UFC) went back-and-forth in the media about the idea the Bellator fighter could be the best 205-pound fighter in the world.

The pair met each other twice under the UFC banner, with Anderson winning by decision in 2015 and Blachowicz winning by knockout in 2020. It was clear both men were irritated with each other, so when Blachowicz suffered a second-round submission loss to Glover Teixeira to end his title reign, Anderson piled on (via Twitter):

As I said… Jan was worried about me after I handled my business and forgot he had his own business!! #UFC267

Glover handled my light weight!! Anybody can get caught with a big shot…. but there’s no luck in 3 rounds of ground and pound or a 2nd round submission! #UFC267

Shortly after Anderson ripped Blachowicz, Jon Jones joined the part. He’s felt slighted by Blachowicz for some time since the Polish fighter picked up the belt he vacated, and took the chance to fire back (via Twitter):

Blachowicz was naturally discouraged in the wake of seeing his UFC title run come to an end following just one defense. However, he promised to rebound stronger.
