Jon Gruden says Raiders WR Antonio Brown is ‘all in, ready to go’

Raiders general manager Mike Mayock said wide receiver Antonio Brown has to be “all in, or all out,” of Oakland’s season, and according to coach Jon Gruden, the star wideout made a choice.

Brown practiced with the Raiders Tuesday, just two days after Mayock’s ultimatum. Gruden happily reported that Brown’s status was closer to normal for this time of year.

Though Brown did practice with an NFL certified helmet, he filed a second grievance against the league on Monday, arguing he should be allowed to wear his old helmet, which is outdated and uncertified. Brown’s helmet became an issue after his feet kept him out of much of training camp.

Brown has not given up on his battle to use the now infamous Schutt AiR Advantage he’s worn his entire career, so if the NFL rules against him for a second time, as is expected, it will be a big day for the Raiders. Brown will he’ll have to deal with the fallout in a professional way — namely by picking a helmet and helping his team win ballgames.
