Ever wondered how your favourite rock star would pay the rent had they not hit the big time? Jon Bon Jovi’s aiming to delve into the ambitions of some famous names for a new reality television show entitled If I Wasn’t a Rock Star.
According to Variety, the Bon Jovi frontman will be partnering with TWC-Dimension to produce a new series which takes rock stars back to their hometowns – free from their entourage – to hopefully gain an intimate insight into the inner-workings of the musicians.
“I was drawn to this project simply because it will be a celebration of the working men and women of this country,” commented Bon Jovi. “They are the real rock stars.”
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be teaming up with Jon Bon Jovi and the teams at Prototype and 3 Ball to bring If I Wasn’t a Rock Star to audiences,” TWC-Dimension’s Bob Weinstein said in a statement. “The series will offer music fans a chance to see their favourite stars as they’ve never imagined them before. We can’t wait to see what other amazing talent comes on board.”
While this is a first in terms of executive producing a reality show, Jon Bon Jovi has appeared in shows such as Ally McBeal, Sex and the City, The West Wing and 30 Rock previously.
Bon Jovi’s last album was 2013’s What About Now.
