New Manchester City signing Jack Grealish's mentality is 'similar' to Phil Foden's, according to ex-City centre-back Joleon Lescott.
The England international made his full debut for Manchester City in a shock 1-0 defeat away at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the weekend.
The maverick forward has now made two appearances for City, both ending in defeat. Grealish's first showing in City colours came in the 1-0 loss to Leicester City at Wembley, making a substitutes appearance as Pep Guardiola chased yet another trophy.
City fans will hope that Grealish can find the excellent form he demonstrated for Aston Villa last season, which persuaded City chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak to part with a British record £100million for his signature.
Lescott - who lifted the Premier League title twice during a glittering stint in Eastlands - is extremely excited about what Grealish can bring to City, comparing him to local boy Foden.
"His mindset is similar to Phil [Foden]. He just loves to play football. He's taking it all in. There has been so much talk about his transfer, but he only wants to play football."
Grealish met up with his former Aston Villa teammate to discuss how he has settled into life in Manchester and how he has found being a member of City's star-studded changing room:
"It's been different. Obviously, I've never really moved before. Like, I've gone into new changing rooms with England under ages and even England first-team, and I've known people. When I've walked in with one of the staff, and obviously it's a big changing room to go into, and some big personalities in there.

"The whole club has been unbelievable, with my family, and I'm not just saying that. It makes it so much easier. They've all obviously been brilliant with me and then all the players and staff, and that have been top with me.
"Now, looking back, it's actually been good for me because I've spoken to people that I might not have spoken to that much."
Lescott finished his interview with the City club website by referencing his chat with Grealish: "There were no English lads in the dressing room when he came to City that he had been away with for England at the Euros.
"So I think it was nice for him to see me there as a friendly face to see him."
