A unique screening of the award-winning 'Joker' film will be presented live in concert as part of a nationwide tour...which will include a stop off in Glasgow.
Joker in Concert will feature a screening of the critically-acclaimed film with Hildur Guðnadóttir’s award-winning score performed live to the movie.
The tour began in London last month and is set to come to Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Thursday, October 14.
Set in Gotham City's troubled society, the movie features compex characters, extraordinary storytelling, stunning visuals and moving performances.
Joaquin Phoenix, who stars as Arthur Fleck, went on to win the Academy Award for Best Actor for his troubling portrayal of the anti-hero.
Hildur Guðnadóttir, one of the most acclaimed young composers of her generation and described by The Times as “music to Hollywood’s ear”, is the first-ever solo female winner of the BAFTA and Golden Globe awards for Best Original Score.
Guðnadóttir said: “I'm thrilled to get to see and hear Joker in the cinema with a live orchestra.
"When we recorded the music, the orchestra brought such depth and detailed attention to the performances that we were all literally holding our breaths during most of the recording sessions.
"It was a beautiful trip. I’m so happy to get to go there again and for an audience to experience that too.”
Joker in Concert is presented by Senbla, and performed by a live orchestra at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
