Dance Moms star JoJo Siwa drew a lot of criticism when she exited the Celebrity Big Brother UK house earlier this year not with the crown, but with a boyfriend, Chris Hughes, despite having publicly identified as a lesbian for years prior and dating Aussie Kath Ebbs at the time.
During her time in the House, Siwa and the Love Island favourite were often seen cuddling each other and sharing intimate moments, much to the surprise of her supporters, including Ebbs. Siwa and Hughes are now together, after being spotted together on numerous occasions following the show’s end.

Speaking on SiriusXM’s Smith Sisters Live show (21 September), Siwa clarified her sexuality, stating that being in a relationship with a man does not make her any less queer.
“Just because I’m in a hetero[sexual] relationship does not mean I’m straight. And okay, just say all of a sudden I said ‘yeah, I’m straight’. Awesome”.
The “Karma” singer continued: “I’m not straight. I mean, I’m in love with a man… But my past doesn’t get to be discredited though because of that.”
Siwa went on to gush about her British boyfriend, making sure not to discredit her previous relationships with women, saying: “The first time I ever fell in love with somebody was with a woman… I’ve obviously been in a relationship with other women and a non-binary person and now I’m with a man”.
Discussing her relationship with the former Love Island star, she said: “I’ve never experienced a love like his.” She added: “The best thing that’s ever happened to me is falling in love with him”.
Hughes’ father, Paul, recently told the Daily Mail that the pair could be married by the end of the year.
“It wouldn’t surprise us if they got married before Christmas,” he said. “We’ve got St Mary’s Church [in Temple Guiting, Gloucestershire] just over the lane from us which would be perfect.”
Siwa previously discussed “bullying” from the LGBTQIA+ community after entering a relationship with Hughes. Though she clarified that she was “not a lesbian“, she has always identified as queer since being in a relationship with Hughes.
Back in June, she discussed feeling “pressure” to identify as a lesbian, saying she “boxed herself in”.
