After an agonizing week of waiting, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Steel Ball Run has unveiled the release plans for its '2nd Stage' – but it's still not exactly crystal clear for viewers.
As revealed at AnimeJapan 2026, the second episode – covering the next leg of Johnny Joestar's cross-country race – will premiere on Netflix in '2026'.
The news comes bundled with a brief teaser trailer for the next entry, with perhaps the most dramatic horse race in recorded history taking another grim turn as racers converge on The Devil's Palm.
You can watch it for yourself below, and be sure to make the most of it: the preview could be the last crumbs of fresh JoJo's footage for quite some time.

This all comes after one of the more controversial anime release schedules in recent memory. A bumper-length Steel Ball Run premiere was then met by radio silence by Netflix and the production staff, only broken by series director Yasuhiro Kimura offering up a disappointing update.
"I want to see it soon, too! When will it be? I don’t know," Kimura told AniTrendz.
Steel Ball Run's official French manga translator has even weighed in on Steel Ball Run's bizarre output, stating, "Steel Ball Run is a story built on tension, suspense and anticipation, arc by arc, week by week. Batch-releasing it neutralizes what makes it work narratively. I'm not asking you to follow every fan demand. I'm asking you to consider whether your release strategy serves the story you're investing in."
