Cornerback Denzel Ward of the Cleveland Browns had an up-and-down start of the game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. He recovered a fumble, but was also beaten out for a 50-50 ball by Broncos receiver Courtland Sutton for a touchdown, and that’s all well and good but what this here blog is about is the mouthguard that Ward wears.

This is a preposterous thing, and I, a true dumb idiot man, cannot stop laughing. Ward’s mouthguard makes him look like he’s screaming at all times, a perpetual state of hysteria, Edvard Munch’s The Scream brought to the Cleveland secondary.
