Save the Children is encouraging kids in October to join Peppa Pig in doing a mindfulness activity every day and raise some funds for other kids going through tough times.

Parents can join in to do simple activities with their child.

Here are some examples:

  • A few deep breaths a day can keep the blues away - Do five minutes of mindful breathing to start your day - we'll show you how.
  • Saying thank you, does wonders for you - Before bed, note down the things you're thankful for and place them in a gratitude jar.
  • A kind act or two can also be good for you - Practice a daily act of kindness, in words or actions.
  • Doing good feels good - Donate some pocket money to Save the Children to help support other kids going through tough times.

Children and their families can set up a fundraising page for Save the Children and get friends and relatives to sponsor their activities.

The money raised goes to Save the Children to help kids in very tough situations, such as Syrian children living in refugee camps.

Children such as 12-year-old Najma who attends Save the Children's Healing and Education Through the Arts (HEART) program in a camp for Syrian refugees.
