Join an online Christmas party with Sophie Ellie-Bextor

According to research revealed today, more than 22 million Christmas parties will be virtual with a third of the UK (32%) planning to celebrate with friends, family or colleagues online this Christmas party season.

With so many logging on to their festive celebrations, Aldi has partnered with pop icon - and queen of lockdown entertainment - Sophie Ellis-Bextor to host a festive Christmas party from her living room, celebrating all of the best bits of partying… in your PJs!

On Thursday, one of the most popular days for Christmas parties, Sophie will be hosting her perfect Christmas celebration with hints and tips on how to turn your kitchen into a disco, the tracks to add to your playlist, and the perfect menu for your party food and drink! Everyone can join Sophie, by tuning in on Aldi’s Facebook at 7pm.

Aldi’s research also revealed that virtual celebrations were seen as a positive, with over a third (36%) of people saying they are looking forward to the opportunity to save some money in the run up to Christmas. Almost the same amount are looking forward to choosing their own party food (33%). Other positives listed included not having to get dressed up (31%) and the opportunity select their own music (15%) to sing along to.
