Johnstone Burgh hoping for bumper Scottish Junior Cup crowd with kids get in free deal

Johnstone Burgh are hoping a bumper crowd will pile into Keanie Park tomorrow for their huge Scottish Junior Cup clash.

The Conference A hosts welcome Premier Division outfit Kirkintilloch Rob to Johnstone as they look to cause an upset and seal an historic quarter-final slot.

Burgh have a strong following, including a core group of youngsters who have been making plenty of noise at home games so far this season.

And tomorrow they are allowing all children into the ground for free with the aim of giving them a taste of local football at its best.

Burgh manager Jamie McKim said: “The Rob Roy game is a massive one for the club and we’re hoping we’ll get a big crowd along to support the boys.

“We’re a community club and the support we get means a lot to us.

“We’re hoping that by allowing all kids to enter for free, we’ll get lots of youngsters to come along to Keanie Park and support their local team.” what we’re all about.

“It should be a brilliant day and fingers crossed we can get the right result and give the fans something to cheer about.”

Kick-off tomorrow is at 1.45pm.
