A thug who is currently serving a 44 month jail sentence has been ordered to spend the equivalent of a £400 fine behind bars.
Gordon Bain was jailed last week for almost four years after he stabbed a dog and slashed its owner’s face and arms in a bloody attack
Bain, 34, left Garry Kyle with permanent scars after repeatedly plunging a knife into him, before turning on his pet dog Bruno at a property in Blantyre Court, Erskine on January 31, last year.
The court also heard how Bain repeatedly attacked Brian Lappin in Motehill Road, Paisley, on October 16 last year.
Bain grabbed Mr Lappin by the clothing and tried to pull him out of his motor before striking him on the head with a car key.

The victim suffered a 3.5cm wound to the left side of his forehead, a 2cm cut to the back of his head and a 1cm cut to the top of his head.
Bain previously admitted at Paisley Sheriff Court he made threats during a phone call to his ex-girlfriend, Natasha McCotter that involved her family members.
The brute admitted that on September 20, 2020, at a property in Fairway Avenue, Paisley, he caused fear or alarm by acting aggressively during a phone call with Ms McCotter by shouting, swearing and uttering threats towards her family members.
Bain, committed this offence under Section 1 of the Abusive Behaviour and Sexual Harm (Scotland) Act 2016, while subject to a bail order granted just a weeks before the offence on September 7, and while subject to an undertaking to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on September 23, 2020.
Sentence had previously been deferred for Bain to be of good behaviour, but the brute continued to re-offend.
Defence agent Amy Spencer told the court Bain had re-offended and as a result is currently serving a 44 month jail sentence.
Sheriff Sukhwinder Gill fined Bain £400 but as there was no time to pay sought, the equivalent jail sentence of 14 days was imposed as an alternative.
Sheriff Gill also made Bain subject of a three year non-harassment order preventing him from contacting Natasha McCotter and from entering her property in Fairway Avenue.
