Johnny Russell says he'll never turn his back on Scotland despite being snubbed again by Steve Clarke.
The Sporting KC striker has bagged 12 goals in his last 12 MLS games, becoming the highest scoring Scot in the league's history.
But Russell, who already has 14 caps for his country, was left out by Clarke for Friday night's crucial World Cup qualifier against Moldova.
The 31-year-old hasn't played for Scotland since 2019 but is in the form of his life in Kansas.
The Sporting KC captain has been a key player for them in reaching the MLS Cup play-offs this term.
He's refusing to give up on pulling a Scotland shirt on again and insists he'll never not make himself available to Clarke.
In an exclusive interview with MailSport , Russell said: “Since I missed a squad due to the pandemic, I haven't spoken to anyone at Scotland.
"So I didn't expect to be in this squad.
"But I'd never say I'm not playing for Scotland. I'll always be available no matter where I am.
“The travelling has never bothered me. I've travelled from America before and not played a minute of football.
“I don't expect to get a game because I've travelled a long way. Obviously, I want to play but I'd never take the huff and say: 'That's me done'.

“Realistically, with the form I'm in and the suspensions Scotland has (Lyndon Dykes), not making this squad probably means it won't happen again for me.
“But I'll never say that I'm done with Scotland. If I'm needed, I'm there.
“If not, I'll just be a fan like the rest of the boys.
“I still want to play for my country, those are the greatest moments of your career.
"But all I can do is play the way I'm playing – that gives me the best possible chance."
