Johnny Manziel issues a public apology to estranged wife Bre Tiesi on her birthday

Johnny Manziel married Instagram and fitness model Bre Tiesi back in 2018 and two years of dating. But in March, both Tiesi and Manziel spoke about their split.

Manziel called their separation “very sad” while Tiesi posted on Instagram about the former Cleveland Browns quarterback breaking his vows.

Saturday was Tiesi’s birthday, which led to Manziel making a public apology to Tiesi (who had already unfollowed him and removed “Manziel” from her Instagram name). Manziel took to Instagram and posted a pair of photos of them together, offering an apology and saying he would have no life if not for meeting her.

UPDATE: Manziel scrubbed his Instagram page after posting, so here is a screenshot:

Manziel wrote:

5/4
HBD B. There would be no life for me without you having come into mine. Through everything we’ve overcome I just want to say I’m sorry. For not being there more and doing what I can to make you truly happy. You deserve it all and then some. Love ya for life

Manziel, who goes by John now, is still eyeing a comeback to professional football. He was kicked out and effectively banned from the Canadian Football League before joining the AAF’s Memphis Express. The AAF folded just two weeks into his Express tenure. Tiesi was credibly accused of cheating at a half marathon the same week as Manziel’s CFL release.

The former Heisman Trophy winner will likely look at the XFL as his last shot at rejuvenating his NFL career.
