Johnny Manziel’s marriage is coming to an end.
The former Heisman Trophy winner and current AAF Memphis Express quarterback married Instagram and fitness model Bre Tiesi in 2018 after they first started dating in 2016. In recent weeks, both Manziel and Tiesi have scrubbed photos together from their social media account. Tiesi removed “Manziel” from her name and wrote in now-deleted comments that Manziel broke vows.
Manziel has since confirmed the split in an interview with TMZ Sports.
He said, requesting privacy via TMZ:
“This is all very, very personal and very sad. I appreciate everyone who has been so supportive of both of us and I would just ask that everyone respect our privacy at this difficult time.
“My hope is to put my head down and be allowed to focus on work and what is required of me on the football field.”
Manziel made the jump to the AAF after mysteriously being banned from the Canadian Football League last month. That same week, Tiesi was accused of cheating on a half marathon. She denied the accusations despite her otherwise world-record pace.
Manziel made his AAF debut with Memphis on Sunday where he completed a 36-yard pass and talked trash.
