Johnny Hekker plays off Tom Brady’s trademark filings with funny tweet

Tom Brady is entering the next chapter of his career in Tampa Bay and he’s taking every chance he can get to market himself in Florida. According to ESPN, Brady filed trademarks for “Tompa Bay” and “Tampa Brady” for use on clothing, headwear and footwear.

The trademarks haven’t been granted yet, but one can assume Brady will win ownership of those phrases for future merchandise.

Rams punter Johnny Hekker had a hilarious response to Brady’s filed trademarks and joked that he’s going to make “John Angeles” and “Los Hekeles” happen.

Rams cornerback David Long Jr. likes the sound of “Los Hekeles,” though it doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue.

Brady joked about his own trademark filings, saying he always wondered why Drew Brees wasn’t taking advantage of a wordplay of his own in New Orleans.

“Drew Orleans” doesn’t sound half bad, to be honest.
