You'd be forgiven for missing Johnny Depp in a recent episode of The Walking Dead.
The actor may not have been there in a physical sense, but his likeness did make an appearance on Sunday night.
Visual effects designer Greg Nicotero revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that a severed head for the show was sculpted using a mold of the famous face.
"I don't know if I'm going to get in trouble if I say this, was Johnny Depp," he told EW.
"I think we had sculpted an emaciated version of a dummy head for something and we used Johnny Depp's head as a basis just for a clay sculpt."
There were three severed heads in total, one of which was based on Nicotero's face, another was Depp, and the third came from an un-named source.

Depp's zombified head was chosen to pass as Hilltop leader Gregory, and was to be sent as a threat to Rick and co's rival camp.
Despite attempts to disfigure the face by punching it several times, they ultimately decided Depp's head didn't fit the bill.
