Johnny Depp could return as Jack Sparrow in next Pirates of the Caribbean film

• Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has confirmed that Johnny Depp is in talks to return for the sixth film in the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise.
• Speaking at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Bruckheimer told Deadline : “We’re talking to Johnny, we’re working on a screenplay, and hopefully we can get this done.”
• During his 2022 defamation trial against his former wife and The Rum Diary co-star Amber Heard, he claimed he would not return to the franchise.
• Co-star Orlando Bloom previously told ITV’s This Morning that he was keen to get the cast back together for a new film.
• The franchise has released five feature films to date, the last being Dead Men Tell No Tales in 2017.
