Amber Heard is set to take the stand for the third day after telling the High Court her former husband Johnny Depp subjected her to a brutal assault during a "three day hostage situation".
The Aquaman star, 34, is continuing her evidence in her ex-husband’s libel case against The Sun’s editor Dan Wootton and the paper’s publisher News Group Newspapers (NGN). Ms Heard is being questioned over 14 allegations of domestic violence, which NGN relies on in its defence of an April 2018 article which branded Mr Depp, 57, a “wife beater”.
Today, the 12th day of the blockbuster hearing, Ms Heard will continue to give evidence before her friends Melanie Inglessis and Joshua Drew are due to give evidence via videolink from LA in the afternoon.
On Tuesday, Ms Heard alleged Mr Depp stripped her naked and subjected her to verbal and physical abuse during a "three day hostage situation", claiming she was pinned down and choked by the star in a kitchen strewn with broken glass.
