John Varvatos taps Sammy Hagar, Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello for Stuart House Benefit

April 13--Menswear designer John Varvatos has tapped Sammy Hagar to perform at Sunday's Stuart House fundraiser in West Hollywood, with actor/newlyweds Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello serving as the annual event's honorary co-chairs.

The event, now in its 13th year, benefits Stuart House, a program of the Rape Treatment Center at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center, and has raised north of $6.4 million to date, with roughly $1.13 million of that from last year's auction and benefit concert headlined by Ziggy Marley and chaired by Chris Pine.

According to the Varvatos team, Hagar will be accompanied on stage by Michael Anthony, Chad Smith and Vic Johnson.

Even though the event, which takes place at the intersection of Melrose Avenue and North Robertson Boulevard in front of Varvatos' West Hollywood boutique, is invitation-only, we're putting it on your radar for one very good reason (two if you consider this a traffic-jam warning): There's also an online charity auction component that's accepting bids from the public at charitybuzz.com/support/StuartHouse. (To approximate the experience of being there, we suggest slapping on some headphones and cranking up "I Can't Drive 55.")

Among the more interesting items up for bid: a pair of autographed, custom-made stage pants worn by Steven Tyler for Aerosmith performances in the '80s and '90s, a meet-and-greet with Ringo Starr and a limited-edition "show book" created for FX's buzz-worthy mini-series "The People vs. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story," autographed by the entire cast and the producers of the show. (Yes, that includes John Travolta, Cuba Gooding Jr., David Schwimmer, Courtney B. Vance, Sarah Paulson, Nathan Lane and producer Ryan Murphy).

We suggest checking in on the auction often since new lots are opening up and current ones are closing out fairly frequently. One that just barely got away? That would be a pair of three-day Guns N' Roses VIP passes to the sold-out second weekend of Coachella (valued at $10,000 and compliments of Slash no less) that appears to have sold for the paltry sum of $4,500.
