John Travolta has received enthusiastic praise after unveiling his new bald head.
The actor shared a selfie on his Instagram account on Monday to wish his followers a happy new year, revealing his new look in the process.
Travolta, who posed next to his 18-year-old daughter Ella Bleu, is wearing a tuxedo in the snap and sporting a shaved head as well as a beard – a look that has pleased social media users endlessly.
The actor, 64, has been believed to have resorted to wigs and hair pieces for several years, presumably to hide a balding skull.
"John Travolta is now bald and he definitely pulls it off," one Twitter user wrote after he shared his Instagram photo.
Someone else commented: "Wowza!!! In a good way... wowza!!!"
Travolta's new look also prompted several comparisons between the actor and Bruce Willis, who has long adopted a bald look.
The actor's bald head does appear to be a relatively new style: in December, Travolta supported his friend Pitbull during his handprint and footprint ceremony at the TCL Hollywood Theatre.
On that occasion, Travolta was sporting a mane of grey hair.
The actor currently has three films in post-production: Karzan Kader's Trading Paint, Carson Philipps's The Poison Rose, and Fred Durst's Moose.
In 2018, Travolta appeared in Gotti and Speed Kills, both of which came out to overall negative reviews.
