John Terry sends transfer message to Kurt Zouma as Chelsea face £8.5m Jules Kounde problem

Tammy Abraham to Roma confirmed

AS Roma confirmed that Tammy Abraham has officially signed a five-year-deal with the Italian club, who are managed by former Blues boss Jose Mourinho. He’ll be wearing the number nine shirt and told the club: “You can sense when a club really wants you – and Roma made their interest clear immediately.”

“Roma is a club that deserves to be fighting for titles and trophies. I’ve had the experience of winning major trophies and I want to be in those competitions again – so I want to help this team to achieve that and get to the level where Roma should be.

“It’s a massive honour to be the No. 9 at this club and I just can’t wait to get started and to help the team.”

Sky Sports uploaded a post saying that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Kurt Zouma.

The former defender and Chelsea captain swiftly popped up in the comments section to write: “Don’t do it @KurtZouma.”

Links between Sevilla defender, Jules Kounde becoming another incoming player this transfer window has escalated reports on Zouma’s possible departure from Chelsea.

Kounde’s release clause

According to 90min, Jules Kounde’s release clause is set to increase by €10million (£8.5million) before the transfer window closes. Chelsea are reportedly still interested in signing the player whose release clause currently stands at £68million.

The club is allegedly trying to bring down the price of his current release clause, but according to Marca the longer the club leaves the move in the balance the less likely they will sign the centre-back.

Lukaku centre of attention on open training day

All eyes were on new signing Romelu Lukaku at the open training at Stamford Bridge.

Football Daily posted a video aired by Sky Sports, where he’s seen training alongside Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell.

Plenty of phones were out by the fans to capture the player, who was all smiles after coming back to the club.

Interest from France for Tiemoué Bakayoko

The player who arrived from Monaco could be on his way back to Ligue 1 after reported interest from Lyon and Rennes.

However, AC Milan are also in the mix for the midfielder according to Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, and the player could make a comeback to the club. Bakayoko went on loan to Milan from Chelsea in 2018.

Romano said: "AC Milan are in talks with Chelsea for Tiemoué Bakayoko’s comeback, negotiations ongoing as he’s on the market."
