John Terry reveals the one Arsenal player that got him off his seat during victory over West Ham

Chelsea icon John Terry has heaped praise on Bukayo Saka after Arsenal's 2-0 victory over West Ham United.

Saka starred for the Gunners as they clinched a vital win against the Hammers on Wednesday night, leapfrogging their opponents in the table to climb up to fourth place for the first time in 14 months.

Mikel Arteta's side dominated the contest from minute one but were unable to break down the east Londoners' resolute defence in the first half, with centre-back Craig Dawson delivering a defensive clinic for the away side.

However, Arsenal eventually took the lead three minutes after half-time through Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli, who latched onto a perfectly-weighted Alexandre Lacazette through ball before delicately cushioning the ball past Lukasz Fabianski in the West Ham goal.

Lacazette was then given the chance to double his side's lead after he was controversially awarded a penalty following a Vladimir Coufal slide tackle, with the Czech international receiving a second yellow card from referee Anthony Taylor.

The former Lyon forward saw his spot-kick saved before England youngster Emile Smith Rowe clinched all three points for the north Londoners with a smart finish in the closing stages of the game.

However, it was another Hale End graduate who grabbed Terry's attention, with 20-year-old winger Saka catching the Blues legend's eye.

Writing on his Instagram story, Terry said: “I love @BukayoSaka87. Constantly gets me off my seat. So exciting to watch” accompanied by a clapping emoji.

Saka registered four key passes, assisted Smith Rowe's goal and was a constant thorn in West Ham's side, regularly gliding past Hammers left-back Arthur Masuaku down Arsenal's right flank.
