John Terry responds on Instagram to what Kurt Zouma did during Chelsea's win over Crystal Palace

Chelsea maintained their charge for Champions League qualification with an entertaining 3-2 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Goals from Olivier Giroud, Christian Pulisic and substitute Tammy Abraham proved the difference despite Palace responding through Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke.

Palace came close to snatching an unlikely point in stoppage time when Scott Dann's back-post header struck the inside of the post before Chelsea managed to clear.

The result means Chelsea moved above Leicester into third place in the table, five points ahead of fifth-placed Manchester United, as the Foxes could only draw 1-1 against Arsenal later on the evening.

Frank Lampard on Willian's form amid contract uncertainty

Blues boss Frank Lampard kept the same back four from the side that beat Watford 3-0 at the weekend, with Kurt Zouma against partnering Andreas Christensen.

The Frenchman, who spent last season on loan at Everton, was impressive during the game - and his performance was given the ultimate seal of approval.

After the match, the official Chelsea Instagram account posted a picture of Zouma making a perfect tackle on Benteke during the game.

Former captain John Terry responded by commenting: "What a tackle, @kurtzouma."

Lampard admitted after the game that he was frustrated that his side let the hosts back into the contest despite their comfortable lead.

"There were moments in the game where our game-management wasn't great," said the Chelsea boss. "At 2-0 we can dominate that game and finish it. When we went 3-2 up we had chances to finish the game and were sloppy.

"But at this point, three points is the critical thing."
