John Terry has praised Raheem Sterling as "unbelievable" following his performances at Euro 2020.
Sterling has been England 's bright spark at the tournament so far and has played a role in almost all of England's decisive moments en route to the final.
Against Denmark, the Manchester City attacker produced a stellar display, winning England's penalty and forcing the own-goal to level the game for the Three Lions.
Many have tipped the Englishman to win the Player of the Tournament award and have sung Sterling's praises in the aftermath of England's qualification to the final.
And former Chelsea and England defender Terry took to social media to laud the England talisman.
"Unbelievable mate," Terry commented under Sterling's celebratory post after the Denmark game, before adding: "Any defender in the world wouldn't want to come up against you 1v1."
Sterling completed 11 dribbles in the game against Denmark and caused constant problems to the Danes' resilient defence.
He is expected to play a key role against Italy too where the 26-year-old will come up against an even tougher opposition.
At club level, City were reportedly open to sell prior to the tournament after Sterling endured a tough run of form under Pep Guardiola at the end of the season.
But his performances at Euro 2020 will surely force the club to reconsider.
At his best Sterling has proven he is a formidable addition to any team in world football and City will be reluctant to strengthen a rival, even if his departure could facilitate the arrival of Harry Kane or Jack Grealish.
