Chelsea defender John Terry has insisted he and Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand should have been named in Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher's 'team of the decade'.
The Sky Sports presenters revealed their best Premier League XI from the last 10 years on Monday Night Football.
Both ex-defenders opted for the same back four, which contained Virgil van Dijk and Vincent Kompany at centre-back.
Whilst Kompany claimed three Premier League titles during the decade as Manchester City's captain, Van Dijk is yet to lift England's greatest prize at Liverpool.
John Terry, by contrast, won the league in 2010, 2015 and 2017 with Chelsea, playing every minute in the first two title-winning seasons under Carlo Ancelotti and Jose Mourinho , respectively.
Likewise, Rio Ferdinand won the Premier League crown with Manchester United in 2011 and 2013, along with an FA Cup.
With that in mind, Terry has insisted it was the England pair that should have been named at centre-back by the Sky Sports duo.
Carragher uploaded the two selected teams on his Instagram page and Terry instantly commented, writing: 09/10 (trophy) 14/15 (trophy) played every minute of every game ! Only the 5th player EVER to do that ! 16/17 (trophy)"
Instagram user user @philb1971 called out Terry for his opinion.
He asked: "@johnterry.26 so which one you getting in front of? VVD or VC [Kompany]" followed by a series of pondering emojis.
Terry replied: "Both - me and Rio all day long."
Elsewhere in the two XIs, David de Gea was the only representative from Manchester United, whilst Kompany, Pablo Zabaleta, David Silva, Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero all made the cut from Manchester City.
